The perfect home for essential oils, our restored classic engraving depicting the anointing of Jesus adorns this heirloom quality chest. Traditionally attributed to Mary Magdalen or an 'unknown sinner woman' in the Gospel of Luke 7:36-50. "Nard" or Spikenard is taken from an alabaster jar to anoint Jesus and he says:
Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

The engraving is done in very fine detail, even down to the tears on Mary's face, on premium American alder, sustainably harvested. Each one will engrave uniquely with the wood grain for a one-of-a-kind piece.
Dimensions are 12 x 7.5 x 3.75.
With a tea box configuration it will hold over 115 tea bags, neatly organized in eight compartments.
For essential oils, it will hold Holds 45 bottles of 5, 10 or 15ml size.
The dividers are removable or you may also order without dividers if you plan as using as open chest.
For an extra touch, we are happy to offer personalization with an inscription inside the lid, with text of your choice for only an additional 20.00. Simply order the personalized model from the menu and include your text in the notes with your order. We will create a draft drawing for your approval before final engraving.
